Broadcast titan Hoda Kotb is leaving the bright lights of Manhattan behind, and she’s taking a big step toward slowing down — but not that far.
The 60-year-old TODAY co-host has traded her vibrant New York City lifestyle for the laid-back, suburban charm of Bronxville — a suburb located in Westchester County.
The TV host is also stepping away from her high-profile role on the morning show to spend more time with her daughters, Haley and Hope, marking the start of a new chapter for the beloved journalist.
“I want my house for the kids to feel warm and cozy, and a place where they want to hang out,” Hoda said, addressing the big changes on a recent episode of “TODAY with Hoda & Jenna.”
And what better place for her daughters to feel at home than a huge, nearly $2.9 million mansion just a short train ride from Manhattan?
Kotb’s new suburban paradise—a 4,000-square-foot gem built in 1952—comes with four bedrooms, five bathrooms and enough charm to make anyone forget the craziness of the Manhattan skyline, according to Realtor.com, who first reported where the residential centers.
The deal for him closed in April, according to records seen by The Post.
The home was recently built by local builders and features a chef’s kitchen, vaulted ceilings and even a sun-filled family room, perfect for vacationing with the kids.
Spanning 765 square feet, the master bedroom itself is a retreat and features an en-suite bathroom, adorned with Calcutta marble tile floors with radiant heat, a heated towel rail, a glass roof and coffered ceilings. arched, notes of previous listing.
But this move is more than just an improvement in square footage.
It’s Hoda’s way of giving her daughters the simple, grounded life she wants for them.
“It’s all new — new kids, new school, new everything,” Kotb shared, reflecting on the change.
“And it’s funny because all I could think about was I want my house to feel warm and cozy…and that’s it.”
The Bronxville home comes with a spacious patio, which Kotb has already started using for family dinners under the stars. T
it features a bluestone courtyard surrounded by colorful gardens, where her daughters will have plenty of space to run around.
For Kotb, the nearby schools, parks and small town make it the perfect place to raise her children.
Representatives for Kotb did not return a message seeking comment by press time.
The move to Bronxville may have come as a surprise to her legions of fans, but Hoda has been thinking about it for a while.
Earlier this year, she teased the change, saying she was ready for a “fresh start.”
Her words, as always, were heartfelt.
“When I found this place that I liked, a small town that had all the things that could teach my kids independence, I said to my kids, ‘We’re repotting.’ They say, ‘What? Yeah move?’ I go, “Yeah, but we’re recovering.”
And as much as Hoda cherished her Manhattan apartment — where she began her journey as a mother — this new home symbolizes the future she wants to build for her daughters.
“We’re on a brand new adventure,” she told her daughters.
“We will have a lot of fun. We have new friends and we have old friends.”
As for leaving her co-host chair behind, Hoda admitted it wasn’t easy. In a touching letter to the TODAY staff, she confessed: “As I write this, my heart is all over the map. I know I’m making the right decision, but it’s a painful one. And you are all the reason why.”
But for Kotb, it all came down to timing — the time she wants to spend with her daughters as they embark on this new life.
“I decided this is the right time to move on,” she told her co-hosts, Savannah Guthrie and Jenna Bush Hager. “Obviously, I had my kids late in life and they deserve a bigger slice of my time pie than I do.”
However, Hoda won’t be disappearing from NBC entirely — she made it clear that she plans to stay “in the family.”
But for now, the quiet streets of Bronxville and the promise of a slower pace are begging.
And as Hoda said best, “This is going to be a great adventure. Let’s go!”
